Many of the Jemez Pueblo's ancestral lands are located within the Santa Fe National Forest. The Pueblo of Jemez and the U.S. Forest Service have established a cooperative partnership to monitor management, care, preservation and respect for these ancestral grounds. A part time/seasonal Jemez District Forest Service Representative is stationed, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at the Pueblo of Jemez Welcome Center to answer questions and assist with the following:
- Jemez District Recreation Information and Handouts
- Local Travel Information
- Forest Road Conditions/Closure Updates
- Santa Fe National Forest Maps
- Fire Wood Permits: (May-December)
- Latilla Cutting Permits
- Tree Transplant Permits (May - December)
- Christmas Tree Cutting Permits (Thanksgiving-Christmas Eve)
- Rock Permits are no longer available
