"Remembering Our School Days: Education in the Jemez Valley"
The history of education in the Jemez Valley unfolds on a series of floor-to-ceiling panels in the Museum of History and Culture. This exhibit takes visitors on a journey of over 100 years of educational history and reminds us of the days of writing with turkey quill pens on sheepskin parchment.
"Remembering Our School Days" was made possible by a generous grant from the New Mexico Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities, which has designated this project as a We the People Initiative. We also extend a special thanks to the San Diego Riverside Charter School for sponsoring the exhibit panels.
